The Main Event Planners LLC is currently seeking Independent Event Consultants. Interested candidates should possess some sales experience, have a strong attention to detail and a customer service orientation. Summary:
Independent Event Consultants must be able to plan and execute an event from beginning to end. Typical planning and coordination assignments may include: weddings, social events, reunions, birthday celebrations, bachelor/bachelorette parties, conferences, meetings, seminars, tradeshows, corporate retreats and award ceremonies. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, timeline creation, budget preparation and management, RSVP tracking, proposal presentations, vendor appointments, contract review, venue and vendor research and selection, event design, on-site event management and coordination.
A Bachelors Degree is required. Candidates may substitute extensive industry related experience for formal education requirement.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in a special event and/or meeting related field is preferred, but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Profient in Microsoft Office suite applications
- Sales background and customer service orientation is preferred
- Must be a self-started and possess the ability to work independently, or as part of a team
- Excellent presentation and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle mutiple tasks accurately and with great attention to detail
- A CMP or CSEP designation is a plus!
